Lens motors are mainly designed for achieving remote control or automatic control of long lenses for film cameras, studio cameras, DV cameras, DSLR etc. It can be used on tripods, cranes, remote control heads, as well as various camera robots and virtual tracking devices. It supports up to three-channel connection and is installed on the zoom, focus or aperture gears of the lens to realize functional control of the lens during the composition process.

Installation on remote heads:

Embed the lens motors directly into the remote camera control equipment for use; the three-channel lens functions can be remotely controlled, and precise lens control can be implemented in shooting with the robot. The high-torque silent motor can easily handle film cameras with large lens size and has low delay; it can output 32,768 c/r high-precision data feedback to make motor spin more accurate, and output virtual tracking data for VR production.

Setup the motors:

(1) Set the motor's corresponding lens function, such as zoom, focus, and aperture, through the DIP switch on the front of the focus follower.

     Note: It is necessary to carefully check the menu on the back of the motor for DIP switch settings.

(2) Install the corresponding lens function motor on the 15mm rod, connect it to the lens ring gear, and lock it.

(3) Select a single-channel, dual-channel, or three-channel lens motors according to the lens function to be controlled and connect them in series.

     Note: It can be connected from either interface 1 or 2, and the other interface is looped out.

(4) After power-on, the motors automatically searches for the focal length range. The focal length range can also be set manually through the remote control panel or by using the two forward and reverse buttons on the focus follower to set the lens range.

     Note: Whenever power on, the setting of the lens range is required.
